Step 1: MUST READ BEFORE REQUESTING/FAQ

FAQ/MUST READ BEFORE REQUESTING TICKETS

Coaches can request as many tickets as their site will use. We recommend requesting tickets by the group numbers on the form. While we cannot guarantee that every site will have an opportunity to attend a game this season, our goal is to provide every site an opportunity to attend. We recommend that you apply for tickets to multiple games to give your site the best opportunity to attend. It is also possible that your site will have multiple opportunities to attend. Our intentions are to provide each site with tickets to one game and if everything goes well with your site filling seats, we hope to provide additional tickets to future games you have requested.

If you request 20+ tickets, you qualify for bus transportation. Please note that you are expected to use all of your tickets, so please take that into consideration when requesting a large sum (see question 3).

Coaches will be notified on a rolling basis. Of course, we will notify coaches as soon as possible to get confirmation and allow you to begin recruiting students and their families. Generally, we try to provide at least a one week’s notice. For example, if the game is Saturday, we would email you confirmation on the Monday leading up to the game.

You can generally expect to receive your tickets via Ticketmaster 1-2 days prior to the game. For example, if the game is Saturday, you should expect a Ticketmaster transfer request on that Thursday or Friday. Please note, this process can be delayed as late as the day of, so please regularly check your email. The person who requested tickets is responsible for accepting all tickets and scanning tickets at the gate and then, if applicable, transferring tickets to other individuals within their party. All tickets MUST be accepted via Ticketmaster prior to entering the stadium.

You should only request tickets that you are 100% confident you will use. We do realize that some things are outside of your control and we want to work with you as much as possible to fill all the seats in our section. With that said, notify DC SCORES staff ASAP if you will not be able to fill all of your awarded seats. You must contact us at least 24 hours before kickoff to avoid being penalized for not using all of your tickets. This will give us a small window to redistribute the unused tickets. If you need more tickets, please use the form to request additional tickets and we will do our best to provide more although unlikely.

Yes! We don't want to scare you but we do want you to realize how important it is to DC SCORES, The Screaming Eagles, D.C. United, and the Spirit that we fill all of the seats in our section. These tickets are generously donated to provide our kids, families, and coaches with a special opportunity to see a professional soccer game. If seats are empty, the allocated number of tickets will be immediately reduced for future games this season and it will be unlikely for us to be able to continue this partnership in future seasons.

After each match, D.C. United or Spirit will send us a report of which tickets were used and which were unused. If you use less than 90% of your awarded tickets, you will be ineligible for tickets to future games this season and potentially next season. If you use more than 90% of your tickets, you will be prioritized for a future game you have requested tickets for this season.

If you request 20+ tickets, a bus will be provided if you'd like. Pickup will be at your school site 1.5-2 hours before kickoff and your group will be dropped off 2.5 hours after kickoff. We will have one bus per game that will transport up to 50 attendees and may pickup multiple sites. *No one (including participants, family members, or coaches) is allowed to board the bus without having turned in a waiver.

Food and drink are not provided for attendees and you cannot bring any outside food or drink into the stadium. Concessions stands to purchase food or drink and water fountains are located inside the stadium.

The goal for each group is to have at least 50% of those in attendance be students, but we also encourage you to invite your fellow coaches and the players' families to attend.

Every single person (including parents and siblings) that attends a game using the requested tickets must fill out a permission slip waiver before getting on the bus or entering the stadium. Absolutely no exceptions. You as coaches will be responsible for collecting the forms (we will send you the permission slip waiver with your confirmation email). All coaches and students should wear DC SCORES shirts, as well as parents if they have them. Please pay close attention to the list of items that are prohibited at Audi Field.

At least one coach must attend the game with his/her students. Coaches should feel free to bring their families or +1 to the games as part of their site's awarded ticket allocation.

We are proud of this partnership between DC SCORES, The Screaming Eagles, D.C. United, and the Washington Spirit. We are passionate about providing all DC SCORES participants, their families, and coaches with the opportunity to see a D.C. United or Spirit match in the beautiful, new stadium. With that said, we are not ticket brokers. We are also humans. Please work with us to make this process as smooth as possible this season. If you have ideas for how to improve things, please let us know! If you and your kids have a great time, please let us know that, too! Feel free to ask your group to send a thank you card, record a short video, tag a social media photo, write a poem, etc. and send it to D.C. United or the Spirit as a thank you!

Step 3: Collect Waivers

Waivers

You must collect a completed waiver for every person (participants, family members, parents, and coaches) before they get on the bus or enter the stadium.

It is the full responsibility of the coach that is requesting tickets to collect and guarantee that every person has turned in a waiver. Coaches should have the waivers on hand at the game and keep them for future games (they may be reused).

If only a child attending without their family, then the parent needs to sign and list that child's name on the waiver.  If more than one family member is attending, anyone over 18 must sign the waiver and all names of those under 18 attending must also be listed.

Step 4: Confirm & Accept Tickets

Confirming Tickets

If you requested tickets via the request form & DC SCORES is able to match you to a game, you will receive an email confirming ticket allocation. You MUST confirm email receipt before we transfer tickets.

AcceptING Tickets - BEFORE game day

You can generally expect to receive your tickets via Ticketmaster 1-2 days prior to the game.

How to accept tickets. Read the step-by-step guide on the DCU website, here.

Transferring ticket to someone else? Watch step-by-step guide on Ticketmaster website, here.

D.C. United is monitoring our scan rates closely so please plan to use all tickets on game day, so we can continue to get free tickets in the future. As soon as you find out that tickets will not be used please transfer them back via Ticketmaster to dsheerin@dcscores.org so we can send them to some of our alumni and other supporters! Getting tickets transferred back ASAP is very helpful so we can give other people as much advance notice as possible so they can plan to attend the game. If you could also do a head count once you have your bus and send back any extra tickets at that point that would be very helpful!

Please plan on using all tickets you request.
